CASE STUDY

Problem: Bundling loose wires and cables around factory computer workstations and assembly lines.

Solution: SPEEDWRAP® Wire Wrap

With the help of FASTENAL, Speedtech worked with the maintenance crew at a leading automotive manufacturing plant.  The crew needed to bundle and restrain miscellaneous wires and cables around workstations throughout the plant.  Bundling the cables with SPEEDWRAP® Wire Wrap ensured that the cables were properly managed, but also secured, so they didn’t become a safety hazard.

This same plant uses hook and loop to bundle the air hoses and cables around the assembly line.

The maintenance department now carries several sizes of these SPEEDWRAP® Wire Wraps in their dollies for on-the-spot repairs and upgrades.   The customer stated, “Wire Wraps are safer on these cables, easier to remove and we never have to get scissors near these valuable cables, to someday remove the ties. We are replacing nylon zip-ties throughout the facility with SPEEDWRAP® Wire Wrap.”

TESTIMONIAL

The way we bundle cable reflects on the quality of the entire installation. And proper bundling is critical to network performance. So we want the best looking cable ties, that are strong and won’t damage the cables themselves. For all these reasons, we’ve switched suppliers and buy SPEEDWRAP®.
