CBS – Speedtech’s Fight Against COVID. GM/VENTEC Respirator Program & More

Milwaukee Wisconsin CBS 58’s evening coverage of Speedtech International’s contribution in the fight against COVID-19. The story highlights Speedtech supply of SPEEDWRAP® Brand Hook & Loop Fasteners for General Motors and VENTEC Life System manufacturing of ventilators as well as Speedtech’s supply of other front line medical needs.

Speedtech’s President Chris Karnowski and Plant Manager Jeff Levonian answer questions about GM and VENTEC’s plans for 40,000 to 200,000 respirators that slated for production and Speedtech’s contribution to the program.

Karnowski explains, “I received a phone call on a Saturday evening asking if we could consult on the fasteners required and whether we could meet the demand? By Monday we were manufacturing the first fasteners for the program.”

CBS 58’s Tori Bokios asks Jeff Levonian how he feels about working on the program and whether the company is supplying SPEEDWRAP® Brand Hook & Loop Fasteners for other medical device manufacturers or first line responders? Jeff explains, “I’ve been with Speedtech for 24 years and I would say this is the most important project we’ve been a part of to date. I feel really proud of our company.’
